How do I get to the virtual symposium?
An information email with all instructions on how to join the IIGANN 2021 Symposium will be sent no later than one week before the virtual symposium to all registered participants who have paid their registration fee and received confirmation from the registration office.
Will I be able to watch on-demand records after the symposium?
Yes, if you are a registered delegate, you will have access to the recordings as soon as it is ready. All symposium materials will be available on the platform from 4 October 2021, for a period 8 weeks.
What do I need technically to participate in a virtual symposium?
To participate in a virtual symposium, you need a good internet connection, your computer or other device and valid registration. Login details (such as a password) will be sent to you automatically the first time you enter the system using your email address. More technical and other information will be published on the official website of the symposium and also sent to your email address, see the first question.
Are there any other specific technical instructions for the virtual platform I should be aware of?
Yes, please note there are these technical pre-requisites:
- Microsoft Windows or Mac OS based device
- Latest Chrome or Microsoft Edge Internet browser (Other browsers are not fully supported)
- Stable Internet connection (minimum 10/10 Mbps is recommended)
- Noise-cancelling headphones with a microphone to reduce background noise are recommended
Will there be any detailed information for chairs and speakers on how to be ready for the session and or presentations?

What is included in my registration fee for the virtual symposium?
The virtual registration fee includes:
- Admission to the Symposium Scientific Sessions and live discussions – online
- Admission to the online Exhibition Area
- Admission to the e-Poster and e-Video Library
- Presentation Records Library (Only those we have received their consent for sharing their MP4 presentations)
- Admission to the Opening and Closing ceremony online
- Networking (chat) with other participants

Can I register during the symposium?
Yes, but only online payment by credit card will be possible.
What time zones will be used?
The symposium programme will be scheduled in the Central European Summer Time – CEST (UTC + 2). Delegates are urged to join the sessions when they are broadcasted live. However, delegates who are unable to join the streamed sessions when they are scheduled will have access to their records in the Presentation Records Library.
Will there be an exhibition at the virtual symposium?
Yes, there will be a virtual exhibition and the opportunity to contact the exhibitors.
